Opinions don’t worry me but I’m a little concerned about an apparent cultural change. Traditional City culture accepted that occasionally (!) we would be hopeless. We dealt with it with Humour often self deprecatory. I got told off by another poster for telling a mild joke at City’s expense which I found odd. Now there seems to be a feeling expressed that we are entitled to be at the top, which is very rag like. There is a post above somewhere expressing outrage that we are possibly having to fight to get into the top four. Well yes, young man, it’s a competition. If we are less dominant in future, that is normal. You won’t see anything like peak Pep era ever again.
Can I ask our relative newbies to avoid entitlement and be more City like? We are, after all, the cock up champions of all time. In my time we have thrown away at least two titles imho. (“If there were cups for cock ups…..” Franny Lee.)
