A s**t away end full of tourists

The Club don’t care.
Anyone in Istanbul and witnessed the aftermath after the game can tell you about the concerns of the fans, many in desperate situations ( we carried fans in wheelchairs out of the car park). Despite numerous questions from fans I have never seen one response from City. Sorry if a bit off thread but still lingers
The chaotic state of that car park after the final was a disgrace, and the lack of condemnation by the club is the biggest indication to date that they really don't give a shit about the fans.

I was speaking to someone at ht. couldn't work out whether it was a bloke or girl (trans i'd guess), from california.

Paid £400 for a ticket. Fuckin disgraceful city. Hang your heads in shame.

As part of their protests and demands over the years, one of the big things they kicked off about was exactly this issue. They demanded it ended. I think the club agreed to their demand.

But they have a proper fans group who have a say at their club, like Liverpool and Newcastle also do.

We do not have one. We have no voice and the club know this.
Then the only way is organised kick offs at home matches. But how to go about starting it is anyone's guess. Perhaps @Manchester33 could help get the ball rolling with 1894, perhaps they could take on the mantle of an independent supporters union? Id be more than happy to pay a membership fee and I'm sure others would.

I agree it's disgraceful but no idea what the answer is, if people like her (and there are thousands out there) are prepared to pay that price then the web sites will continue to sell them. I'm sure the technology exists to be able to track where the tickets come from but I don't think there's an easy way to control the prices they end up going for. I find the whole season ticket / points / gold member / cup schemes etc etc utterly confusing. I would have thought the simple way to start was to sell season tickets for one set of prices depending on location (with people renewing at the front of the queue) that guarantees you a seat at any game full stop. If you can't go and want to sell it then fine. A lot of long haul tourists see attending a game as a one off mega plus to their holiday and a few hundred quid added to a holiday likely costing thousands is no big deal. A friend took me to a NY Yankees game in the late 90's and I have no idea what she paid for the tickets but it was a great experience. It's just one of the results of City's rise to global prominence.

I'm in.

There is room for another group of 'activists' who operate with complete independence.

The OSC & 1894 depend on the club for support,a new group must be prepared to be more radical and direct in its actions.

Now is the time.....how to do it ??

1894 group could do one of their massive banners ‘Tickets for fans not tourists’ instead of a big one of pep’s bleeding head etc. it seems we can organise a clap on 19 minutes for a departed blue - why not a mass walkout to the concourses for 5 minutes. Covid football was the warning of what the game feels like without noise

Covid football was a chance for football fans to reclaim the game.

Unfortunately, the vast majority of football fans are too tribal and too selfish to do anything worthy of note so they will continue to get the bedsheets out whilst the men in suits laugh at them for the mugs we are.

The only way to stop this exploitation is mass boycott. Yesterday's game was viewed by tens of millions, it's viewed by tens of millions because the grounds are always packed and energetic. As we saw with Covid football, watching a game with no crowd or atmosphere is shit but you try getting 61,000 people to boycott for the good and the future of the game and 99% of them will be too selfish to do so but then moan in years to come when they are priced out.

There is literally no point anymore in complaining about it, 40 pages of wasted bandwidth when the only solution is staring everyone in the face but they're too blinded by their silly bedsheets and hashtags to do anything about it.

Football fans have all the power and have allowed this to happen. Don't blame men in suits who's job it is to exploit fans, blame ourselves.
