A s**t away end full of tourists

One way to look at it is, if he's Pep's dad then he should know better, shouldn't he?
Well yes, that I do agree with. It was stupid and the club should make it clear that, whoever you are, if you're at a game on a club ticket, then you don't do anything to embarrass the club.

I'm not one of the fans you're responding to, not am I apoplectic with rage about this, but I don't think its xenophobic to be annoyed that a group of barca fans showed up in full gear when there are fans who can't get away tickets.

Regardless of whether or not its Pep's dad and pals, who shows up to an away end in a shirt not of that club?? Surely Pep's dad would know the optics of that?
Fair enough but some of the anti-tourist comments have been borderline racist. Our fanbase has always been very welcoming to new fans, wherever they come from, and it's a shame to see us scapegoating people. The problem lies with the clubs and the pathetic away allocations provided by most clubs. Away fans should get up to 10 per cent of the crowd (provided they want them). No excuse for clubs like Bournemouth who have been given hundreds of millions of pounds of broadcast money but not improved their grounds. If we got 6,000 for Old Trafford and Anfield the problem would go away.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but you can transfer a cup scheme ticket to anyone on your F&F list can’t you? So no need for a seat to go empty is there?

I don't know if that's the case but not everybody has F&F who go to the games. If the club had a scheme where if I couldn't attend a cup game but I could donate it so it went to somebody disadvantaged who couldn't afford to go I'd do so.

premier league tickets only for selling

Only Season Ticket holders can sell their seats on City Ticket Exchange and it applies to home Premier League/Women's Super League matches only.

Ticket Exchange is not available for Cup matches only Premier League and Women's Super League*.
Ticket transfer is available for cup matches for Season Ticket holders on the relevant cup scheme.
The returning/refunding of a Cup Scheme ticket will result in you being removed from that specific Cup Scheme.

Aha! I see you're not denying the "scroat" allegations.

But I seriously question why I bothered sometimes, when you get idiots like that hurling unwarranted abuse. But then I remember all the people I helped over my 4 years, such as the couple who lost their 30-year-old daughter, who died just after the renewal window. They obviously told the club about this but kept getting hassled over non-payment of her direct debit. Danny Wilson was horrified and went out of his way to sort it out, including ringing them personally to apologise.

And the people who lost their seats in the renewal window when they thought the seat had been automatically renewed I got reinstated. There were usually a handful of those every window. And all those independent food stalls round the campus, that was my doing. And everything we did in the Ticketing Working Group to make Ticket Exchange more attractive, and make transferring tickets as simple as possible, which many people now benefit from.

I did that, not to feather my own nest, but to make the whole experience better for City fans, against the background of an executive team that seemingly wants the opposite.

Kevin's reply to my question about whether this was bollocks was "Bollocks indeed".

People need to stop seeing fucking conspiracies everywhere.
If this rumour is true it will cause a huge backlash, especially from the platinum members who have paid an extra £50 for their season ticket for years so they can maintain their loyalty points. The club would have to "buy-out" people's loyalty points.

You really are a complete cretin, as well as a KFA gobshite. No one is forced to go on cup schemes currently. I came out of the CL scheme this season. Might do the same for the League Cup if prices go up again next season.

you are kind of forced if you want to go to cup finals. We live away so i put my kids on the fa cup scheme, which generally they can attend, the league cup scheme is a no go for them, but i pay for them so we can sit together at a cup final, i essentially give City money for nothing, just so i can attend a final with them, we existed just fine without cup schemes, but yet again the clubs eyes lit up and saw an opportunity, initially it was with a caveat of capped ticket prices, now they are just a fiver cheaper regardless of opposition, or whether it's a dead rubber where you are surrounded by freebies. Lets scrap cup schemes, lets scrap platinum and lets have affordable tickets for all. Whatever the club are attempting or doing the disconnect is off the scale, and consider ticket revenus is so modest in the grand scheme of things it's the biggest fuck up the owners have made, and continue to make

Or the **** one!

Sadly it's human nature for some to give people in positions such as this stick. It's what I call a no win position, a bit like being a Union rep.

Unfortunately people have been empowered by social media to be as horrible a version of themselves as possible. Not much you can do about it other than keep in mind that the people who really count know the merit of the work you do. Everyone else is just yapping.

Yes. I have had to do it this season for health reasons. I always join all the Cup Schemes because I usually attend every home match.

Colin ignore him there is no need for you to justify anything, those that matter know your dedication to the cause

It's sad to see City fans slagging each other off. We need to stick together. We all know the way matchgoing fans are treated at all clubs is pretty shit. There will never be a 100 per cent perfect ticketing system but the club does shoot itself in the foot sometimes because of poor communication. A ballot would be ridiculous because it would prevent supporters from making transport/hotel plans in advance. It would cost people a fortune in train fares for example. It would also betray loyal fans (with high points) who have followed City everywhere through the bad times.

He's talking through his arse, which Kevin Parker has just confirmed to me.

I spent 4 years talking to the club about ticketing, among other things and the club's stated position was that they did not want to go down the ballot route for away tickets.

We also had numerous discussions about how to deal with no-shows and one of the things that was implemented to do that was making it as easy as possible to transfer tickets.
Fingers crossed that is the case, it wouldn't be surprising with the lack of thought for fans we experience consistently now. Not being able to transfer would be suicide so hopefully you are right.

Does it not speak volumes that it’s actually believable. Granted you’ve dismissed it but without ticket office it’s not impossible.

one thing that is crystal clear is clarity regarding tickets is becoming more and more vital. That’s what should be being pushed.

Longer we go without clarity longer these issues and rumours will go on. It’s definitely getting harder to attain away tickets more and more of those I go with are gradually being replaced by corporate and sponsors.
Your first paragraph shows how much of a mess/little faith we have with the £££ suits and their actions over the years.
