A s**t away end full of tourists

All season ticket holders only, but in saying that the points system is fucked up with that, been ages since I done an away, and can’t see when the next will be, but I’ll keep my seat for home games like I have for donkeys years, but Hoo Son Fook and his girlfriend Bish Bash Bosh will soon be in them with their phones at the ready when I call it a day
Bit of casual racism there, it's a real concern that one of these day trippers will get attacked and killed at an away match. Or perhaps a loyal Asian supporter targeted because of a stereotype. City have a duty of care to sort this out

No racism at all, just a tongue in cheek joke, but if they still rock up with the half City and half Gateshead scarves then fair play to them, but I very much fucking doubt it do you?

Why does that not shock me at all.

I think with these people in charge we will end up in a very bad place as regards our fan base, they seem intent on short term gain at the expense of everything else.

Even Swales had a medium/long term vision for fans and ticketing with him recognising the value of the Junior Blues and the reduced price for season ticket renewals in March.

As predicted
Manchester City Football Club

Officially a “Ticket Cartel”

The days of our loyalty are NO LONGER an interest to our football club and the days when Generations of families were the cornerstone of any football club are now being forgotten, apart from documentaries where they want you to believe - Hypocrisy at its best.

They simply don’t give a SH1T…

Apart from being ripped off with Flexi Gold season tickets - and Cup pricing the next chapter will begin from next season :

1. NO transferring of tickets to family & friends

2. A ballot for all away tickets

This is what happens with success the heart and soul of our great club is being ripped apart for the love of greed - REMEMBER every Premier League Club doesn’t need fans in the stadium as they make enough £££££££ without us

Football at MCFC is now too expensive for the working class family, and the priority is day trippers/cherry pickers who sit in their seats and then film the 90 minutes with their smart phones

This is FOOTBALL IN 2024

But the way it’s gone and going then let’s rename it SOCCER

Maybe the new Ticketing Compliance manager is the John Maddock of ticketing

Good point. We often complain that the media are effectively inciting aggression towards City fans. While I understand peoples' feelings, perhaps we're doing the same vis-a-vis these "tourist" stereotypes.

Good advice is to only worry about the things you can control, not the things you can't. Unless we turn to shit again, and we struggle to sell out games, or we go back to removing limits on the numbers of away fans and paying on the gate, it is what it is.

Even if all 2,800 tickets went to season ticket holders (and it's pretty certain that's not going to happen) 2,801 and lower on the list would still be moaning the system was unfair.

Ahhhh, the old flexi gold ticket fiasco where the club acted like it was doing everyone a favour and provided home tickets with a non returnable deposit of £150.00.

Just to be clear here I am not having a pop at those fans who bought the tickets I am having a pop at the cheek of the club in openly taking advantage of loyal blues desperate for a ticket.

In which case our fans should show him a bit of respect instead of going off on a xenophobic anti-tourist rant. Last season I sat right next to the family of Julian Alvarez at Fulham. They didnt look like old-school City fans either but they were lovely people.

Both Alvarez's brothers played local Sunday League while he was here. Julian was in Cheadle Nomads clubhouse one random Wednesday when they played the team his Brothers were turning out for!

Been following the thread on and off all day. This away ticket ballot rumour, bollocks or not, would finish the OSC’s off, as there is no guarantee anyone in a branch would get an away ticket, let alone fill a car, never mind a 50+ seater coach. Or am I totally not understanding how an away ticket ballot system works? The Rags have one, don’t they.

I agree which is why if they do it they won't be telling Kevin Parker 6 months in advance. I personally don't think they will do a ballot system, Pep has spoken a lot about vocal away support being a big help to his players after big wins on the road.

Rags have 2 systems. They have a protected loyalty pot(legacy high pointers) and a ballot other fans can enter (there are some rules to this). The loyalty pot have to apply for every game and a small proportion pick up in destination. You can transfer ur ticket (once or twice) but can easily be stripped of ur status if u break rules. When they introduce this over 10 years ago there were around 1300 legacy fans with protection. This group is now 600 or so. Rags published data for every away game detailing the number of tiks allocated to each group.

And those flexi-gold tickets, 600 I believe, sold out in 10 minutes, so will be deemed by the club to be a success. Will the club try it again for next season as there are a lot more seats to fill? It bodes badly for future full season tickets.

Rag.. ! :-)

i help run knutsford. we were told our "home" fixture was norwich...
Years ago a bloke I worked with was sent to pick something up from a different depot. Hours later, about 5, he rang up and said they had no knowledge of it.
He was in Norwich........he was meant to go to Northwich !
Perhaps they have made the same mistake?

I've had exactly the same with Swinton & Swindon with one of our fitters. We also had a fitter once who called us from Hull saying he couldn't find Cheshire Oaks anywhere....he'd turned right onto the M62, not left.

I kid you not.

No, no and no again. It isn't a problem if Blues of any country qualify for tickets.
It is a problem when 8 people turn up at an away game in Barca shirts.
An away game that sold out to Blues at circa 27k points.
Like the Real Madrid disgrace of 2 years ago, it is our club saying fuck you.
