What year was points of blue set up and did we have the issues then as we do now?

Either way, the club need to be made aware of the negative affect that this pursuit of casual fan money is having on our fanbase and it's ability to create an organic atmosphere at games. Both home and away.

Long term supporters in general don't want different random tourists next to them every other week.

I might be speaking for myself but I love the fact that on Premier League games, it's pretty much the same regular faces that I see around me at every home game. All displaying a similar amount of passion for City.

My match day experience will be severely affected if that's diluted to make way for more casual support.

Us as supporters really should have made more of an effort to force the club to respect our away support and discourage them from siphoning off tickets to all and sundry for extra cash or 'spreading the brand'. A fair and transparent distribution of away game tickets (especially for the in demand games) should have been implemented ages ago. One whereas the vast bulk of the tickets go to the loyal supporters that have supported the club for years, with maybe a small percentage going to some sort of ballot for those that are just starting as an away game supporter.

Points awarded as they used to be with maybe less glamour fixtures earning more points than Utd away. Police the system and younger supporters would likely soon catch up and get higher up the ladder with regard points for bigger games.

The whole set up nowadays is like the wild west and has caused division amongst the fanbase. Maybe that was the intention though.

Yep, I've seen some comments on here saying if you can't afford it don't go, priorities etc

Then they whinge why the atmosphere is in toilet.

The Points of Blue meetings were open to everyone and if you wanted to speak you got the opportunity. It seemed as if the club listened, I know things that were discussed and some changes made. But of course this was before we started winning everything in sight and our 'fan' base expanded.
It wasn't just a select few it was any fan who wanted to and had the time. As far as I could tell and I attended quite a few, including the brilliant one where Mancini said he would drive the bus over the Mancunian way to beat the Trafford gang!!

Spoke to a good friend of the lad who threw the punch last night, I also know the lad and the bus he was on. He's a regular Blue, never causes trouble and it takes a lot to wind him up....and....guess what...it's a very different picture to the one that has been scousewashed on various socials.

This scouser WAS causing shit and got right in the face of the Blue and screamed dirty Manc scum at him. He was told to pipe down, but continued. He was told to fuck off and continued. Eventually, after one last "make me you Manc ****", he was lamped. He fell, cracked his head on an uneven paving slab. The Blue was arrested and spent the night in the nick. He was let out next day with NO charges. The dibble had seen the build up to the incident and witnessed the provocation. It's also telling that the scouser decided NOT to press charges too.

Apparently, in typical City gallows humour, a Blue walked by and said "that's the only shot on target we've seen all fucking day". Even the coppers were sniggering.

Scouse cunts.

I was on the Cheadle coach mate. I was only going off what another City fan on that coach said he saw so it wasn’t a scouse version of events! He insisted the one who was smacked had done nothing wrong but there were a group of them right nearby who had been gobbing off. The ones who he said had been mouthing off reappeared about 10 minutes later after the fan who was knocked to the ground had come round. They seemed to find the whole episode rather funny and didn’t appear to care about the Liverpool fan on the receiving end, and then a couple of minutes later they fucked off
