These Arabs have fucked up your academy totally. Young players will no longer be given a chance, and City have had some great players coming through the academy lately. Such a shame for you lot.

what is the pride of merseyside?

is it the dole office.

Calm down! Calm down!

A! A! A!

Cheers, lloydie, for starting the thread. I thought it was a pretty good read, and I'm glad some of you enjoyed it.

Fair play to him. I remember seeing him in Bar38 in town with Chris Killen pissed out of his head bouncing about the place.

Absolutely no worries mate, the credit goes to you for bringing it to our attention.

I think the pride of mersyside is still a band which split up 40 years ago.....
Always living in the past is the city of Liverpool

Completely agree, since the money came, our academy has stopped.

Well, apart from Nimley, Ibrahim, Boyata, Cunningham, Guidetti, Weiss, and Trippier, hwo have all had first team appearances in the last 2 years, which if you look it up, means we are averaging 3.5 players a year breaking through which is bigger than any other time in our past.
Also, the Academy has had huge new facilities, renamed the EDS and we've just bought Prozone for our youth team which is unprecedented.

Apart from that though you have a point.

I agree. City's Academy R.I.P. When's the memorial service then? Oh wait we're not in Liverpool are we?!

christ on a bike you're even more bitter than the average rag. if what you say is true i must have dreamed dedryck boyata played & scored in our last home game which also featured greg cunningham. academy graduates shaun wright-phillips & micah richards also played in the same game. (it was one of those european games that everton aren't very good at).

need i continue or are you getting the picture? and at city we don't promise our academy graduates a new contract but forget to issue it, allowing them to go to newcastle.
