I believe the Americans developed the first sub made for military purposes now i am not sure if it was for use against us or the civil war.

My answer is for question 2,

British Navy was first attacked and it was by the Americans.

Note: Not googled...but damn i want to verify hehe.

It possibly was but it's not the right answer. Think about who invented the submarine - and where.

Wiki says it was the American Civil war, but you don't mean it was the bloody Greeks, do you? Or that Dutch bloke?

So if it was by the dutch then my answer is against us again but by the Dutch :-D

Well, the answer in the pub quiz I was at, last night was Queen Ann (hence the bow legs clue) - and we guessed correctly, too. F**k em. They're not getting their wine & chocolates back now.
