A song for Erling...

This is the best one I and numerous others have come across. Be great if this one caught on. Catchy tune and not too long so large numbers can join in and not struggle with the words. Another huge plus is that the same verse is repeatable. Could possibly change the Haaland for Erling? Ticks every box I think.
'Wooooahhhh Erling...
Rate it highly

I agree. We’ve come up with some great chants for previous players and that’s all we can come up with. Surely we can think of something better
Isn’t the point if a chant is for the crowd to acknowledge their love for the player ? And so a fairly basic song that easily catches on and is therefore sung more often is surely better than a longer song that most people don’t know the lyrics or tune to.

The Zaba situation on Saturday perfectly illustrated this - a pretty muted singing of the long he is a fuckin manc song rather than the whole ground joining in with the original easily sung Zaba song

Get the Billy Ocean song on at City Square before the game and get some lads to start singing the words for Haaland It'll soon catch on. Nothing like the pre match buzz to get a song going.

Perfect. Created after 15 pints like all good classics.

Fantastic. Still think it'd flow better with a 'wooooaaaahhh Erling' like the 'wooooaaaahhh Baby' from the original instead of his full name and then go to the next line- especially when it's being repeated continuously like that. Good work.

Personally think it will get a bit messy trying to sing the 'Billy Ocean' song. Like the concept though, just needs a bit of tweaking

I know people won't like this (because of its associations with Wolves and Villa), but was thinking that it would be great for when he scores hat tricks — and only then — to have them play ‘Hi ho silver lining’ on the p.a. system at the final whistle, and for the whole stadium to belt out ‘HI HO ERLING HAALAND!!’ at the chorus.
It would give me goose bumps, anyway… him too, probably.

As for a general song. I've got a terrible admission to make. I've never really picked up all the words for “United run away”. In fact, that's just about all I can sing along to (which I like!). Too complicated a song just won't catch on. So it needs to be kept simple, for the simple folk that we are.
