It is admirable that BM poster awareness levels have been raised to the level where they are giving examples of available grants. Alas, I was not among them as it never occurred to me. Bad Bob.

Yes, Insulate Britain website is all about action. It is not Check A Trader. If I was responsible for their online presence, I would include useful links of how to insulate your home. Good PR. Also, monetise the links.

I’m pretty sure eco-anarchists are not big on insulating homes. Demolishing homes and having us living in natural tree habitats, yes. Advocating loft insulation, no.

I kind of did. I said so. I even referenced the search question I used. Very useful info. Learnt something and had my awareness level raised. Hopefully, more people will research this issue and maybe some will even install or upgrade their home insulation.

Ah, yes, personal accountability. Is that like when Owen Paterson has his PM mate try and overturn his punishment by rewriting the rules after being found guilty? Sitting in a road versus institutional corruption. Pretty sure I know what is more deserving of a custodial sentence. Obviously, it’s sitting in a road. Silly me.

They ignored a court injunction.

It really isn’t difficult to guess what was always going to happen after that.

Again Bob, they are not in prison for glueing themselves to roads and blocking them as they did it for weeks and the law turned a blind eye up to the point a court ruled they had to stop doing so as it was against the law. They are in prison because they chose to ignore that injunction.

It’s not some tale of how unfair everything is, it’s actually a tale of their own stupidity. They knew what would happen and said they were happy to go to jail so not sure why you are surprised or upset that they now have what they wanted?

If the protesters were happy to go to prison, then everyone should be happy for them.

What amuses me, is the argument about the blocked ambulance's... even if they passed through without a problem, they would invariably end up waiting for hours outside the A&E of the local hospital.

As for the Tiktok mothers in their 4x4's rushing to take their fat kids to the local school - they can just F.O.

If someone is critically ill, they don’t wait in a queue at A&E. The last time I was in A&E, they rushed three people through a side door from an ambulance because it was life threatening. And anyway, even if what you say was true, who the fuck are these protesters to decide who gets to A&E at what time? If there is a queue, holding them up for several hours is only going to give them less chance when they get there.

It's not all about ambulances though is it people have a right to peaceful protest which does not include breaking the law. Other people have the right to go about their lawful business without undue interference.

It didn’t until the injunctions were granted.

Perhaps a dialogue between the protesters and the environment minister could have sorted it without having to make a law for them to break.

Don’t think a law was made, rather the law as it existed was finally enforced after they tried the softly softly approach.

Taken from the article. Without the injunction, they couldn’t serve a custodial sentence.

You can’t be awarded an injunction if no law is being broken.

They were busy breaking the law and finally, the government through the courts by use of an injunction which gave them a final chance of stopping their protest did so.
