Met Anthony numerous times in The Mitre back in the early 90s. It even got to the stage he'd sit at the table a group of us were on when he'd finished his singing part on a Fisher Price mic.

Haha. We deffo lowered the tone in corbieres. Got thrown out of sinclairs several times and there was nowt posh about South.
Good times, I used to do the original Sinclairs for the lethal pilsner, then on to the ritz on a Monday and Wednesday, great student nights back in the day.
Was also called the auld reekie for a while

Anyone remember The Magic Village in the late 60's ? I used to frequent there, it was in a cellar on Cromford Court off Market St. so similar to The Cavern in L'pool. All nighter, saw a few famous bands there on the tiny stage.
It was pretty horrible, full of mould and stinking leaky toilets etc. There was even a rope swing ffs.

Fuck.....missed Pink Floyd, but do remember seeing The Edgar Broughton Band....I think!
Remember they sold butties with nothing but peanuts on top.....I think. Hazy memories because of being overserved with certain substances. Happy days...I think

It was a real dive of a place, plenty of acid going around. 10 bob for all night. Some people brought sleeping bags and I remember seeing at least 1 couple have intercourse on said bag :)
I had a conversation with Keith Emerson when The Nice played there as they were loading up the van, they didn't have a Bass player and I asked him if I could join (I told him I was the best Bass player in Manchester) :) but he said they didn't want a Bass player as he played his bass pedals...what a great guy he was. Superb keyboard player. RIP Keith.
