A trip down memory lane around Manchester....

Does anyone know if that MUEN photo above with bus is Denmark Road ? It looks too narrow to be Princess Road.

I don't remember Claremont Road or Great Western Street looking like that
I think it IS actually Princess Road looking southwards ...the shops on the right is now grass and trees.

I think there was a fly past by a Vulcan Bomber that was noisy too. Or my memory might be wrong.
I think you are correct, the Vulcan stood on it tail and powered up blasting the show arena with the sound of it's howl and exhaust blast. the first time I felt the earth move!!

My Wife and I along with our friend Simon write and record our own songs for pleasure. We wrote this one called 'Red Brick Town' about Manchester. I did some filming on my phone and put together a video for it.
We're all in our 60's so it's just for fun. Let us know what you think please and don't hold back I can take the criticism....honest!

Remember the 22 in our city that’s red and blue

Nice touch, I liked it

It's really nice you gave it a listen. I did wonder for quite a while if that line could be a little sensitive but in the end we decided to leave it in. We are just in the process of putting together a new album (I use that term loosely as its not a physical album) to put on spotify and Red Brick Town will be on it. We think this is a huge improvement on our first effort where we were really learning what to do, although some of those songs I still think stand up well enough. I appreciate the comment thanks.
