Aaron Hickey

Nowhere near good enough for me.

Although ambidextrous, he's got a very unorthodox, hard to watch style.

He's found his level at Brentford.

WTF does that mean, he is playing football not playing tennis
I have been playing tennis my whole life, and for me, even in tennis, the goal is to win, so who cares about style :). As long as Hickey can be effective in our team, I am all for it. He is 20 and has a lot of room to improve. We have been watching him for a few years now, so we are clearly interested in some capacity.

Not sure kicking a ball with either hand is particularly helpful for an outfield player mate ;)

Agreed!
I've been playing Tennis for 40 years now ,my style is a little awkward and I'd say low on style but high on effectiveness.like you say the goal is to win,and the lack of even a minutes coaching from any professional hasn't impacted on a very good career record against other park players over the years...even if I do say so myself ; )

I can remember talking to a die hard Hearts fan about 3 years ago who was raving about Hickey, said he was absolutely brilliant...I'd wager that now he has premier league experience for a mid table team Pep could be the coach to take him up to the next level.
