That was as a result of the following factors:
- introduction of new players
- optimism and self belief from the players who believed in the project and
- The one factor that we all know but never acknowledge - Mourinho
But the most important factor was Stevie G. (Honourable mention - Eminem for the track "lose yourself" , the song that hyped up Stevie G up until he lost himself and his team the title in front of the entire world)
Had very little to do with Pellegrini's managerial skills. The only game I really enjoyed under Pellegrini was the 4-1 trashing we gave to the rags, Nasri was unplayable that day. All down to the players and not Pellegrini's predictable 65 minute substitutions.
You must have a short memory then, aguero managed 28, 32 & 29 goals in each season under him which were big numbers at that time. KDB only played one season under him.I think the only player that managed to maintain his standard under Pellegrini was KDB, Even players like Yaya and Silva became so poor, at some point I thought I was watching Steed Malbranque play for us. Pellegrini was an atrocious manager, had nothing on Mancini
