Who'd a thought, 10 year ago, we'd be sitting here talking about a half BILLION pound turnover and a £30 Million pound profit.

In them days, we had to raid the charity box to pay the wages.........................................................

I'm no accountant either so can I ask, has anyone taken money out of the club before the profit was announced in the same or similar way to the Glaziers. I am thinking that the Chinese investment must be getting yearly dividends.

This is really good news but I wonder in terms of profit what we are going to aspire to in the coming years?

Probably nothing more than was achieved this financial year.
Our owner isn't interested in taking money out and the club would pay tax on any profits, so as long as the club/group balances it's books and is successful on the pitch then happy days

A dividend would be paid out after profit so it wouldn't impact the p&l numbers. I think the Glazers take money out by charging a management/consultancy fee. Guess something like that could be buried in those numbers but I don't think our owners are interested in taking out a few million here and there

As above, cheers for the reply. I am not saying we have anything like the Glaziers (who are doing a great job by the way) but what do the Chinese investors get from their investment ? Surely they don't have to sell to get their money and profit back ?
