Just watched it again a few times including one on slow motion. It was nothing like you've described. He went down because he was tripped, thats all

Personally I would have hated it if he did dive, it's cheating pure and simple and I'd rather lose than win by cheating.

Was just about to post this. After I read the guys post about the dive, I got MOTD up on the Sky+ to watch it again. There is no way he went down before contact was made.

I'll have to watch it again later, I was several glasses of wine to the good when I watched last night.

To me Johnno was very quick and was looking for a penalty, the defender slid across and eventually made contact, but to me it appeared that Johnson was going to ground before Warnocks foot made contact, in full flight it was probably not noticeable, hence the reason why Villa didn't protest, plus the fact we should have had a penalty by then anyway, so it was likely Clattenburg would cave in at some point.

As for not liking cheating, I don't but the point is every team does it week in week out, just some are better than others.
