I also think that formation would negate the responsibility upon our fullbacks of providing the attacking width, something we have struggled with across the majority of the season.

AJ on the right is a narrow option and is designed to open the space for the overlapping full back.

Nowhere near as narrow as Silva on the right - which effectively is Silva playing 'in the hole' and having defensive duties as a right sided midfield player.

Currently I think he's best coming off the bench...which wouldn't be a bad thing in a semi-final or final.
Still think he's got alot of improving to do when he starts a game but I'm sure he'll get there :)

No reason for me why we can't play Zaba behind and have Kolarov as a winger.

Have you not watched his recent displays?

He's uncommited,struggles with the short passing game and without energy.

Don`t forget his incredible ability to shoot hopelessy wide or over everytime he get in the oppositions half.

let's not forget that AJ's record against good teams/good fullbacks has hardly been impressive. But his change of pace and bringing width to the side will be a massive breath of fresh air.
