From what i've read he met this girl in a nightclub and so would not be expecting her to be under age, we all know how a young lady can look years older depending on what they are wearing and how they are made up. You can to a point see how he could get himself into a situation where he believes he is with a woman significantly older than in reality.
One thing has always puzzled me with these footballers though, with the money they earn why don't they employ somebody to be out with them to ensure they don't make a twat of themselves? why not get a mate on one side and say, look i'll pay you £500 a week all you have to do is come out with me if i'm out for a night out. You keep sober and have my best interests at heart, if i'm being a knob then tell me or if there is any trouble brewing get me out of there.
All these footballers must know that they are targets for potental Wags or certain women wanting to make quick money, why they allow themselves to get in these situations is beyond me.
