Thankyou Mancini for getting rid of that fucknut Adam Johnson and may many more wasters follow him out the fucking door. I've feared many players coming back to haunt us, this lazy c.unt will not be one.
I detest that mean-spirited, spiteful and brainless attitude amongst a small section of football fans. Thankfully it is only a small percentage of the low intelligence ones, not the majority view.

AJ is a great signing for Sunderland and I know he will fulfil his huge potential there given regular games and confidence.

I'm gutted he has left but it's for the best. He was in a difficult situation at MCFC and all fans should remember that. Some key goals over the past couple of years.

Good luck AJ

Poor decision from Mancini this.
I'm very dissapointed AJ has left, he had the talent to become a top player, he just needed some tlc and nuturing. Mancini has not treated him right.

So where will the width in our team come from now ffs??.
Scott Sinclair is not the answer. I'm completely underwhelmed.

I loved AJ.

Out of all our players he was the one who felt most like a City player - in that he was brilliant at times but made really basic errors such as not running back.

All our big guns Yaya,Siva,Tevez,Balo all linked well with him. He scored goals and he was as accurate a passer of the Ball as anyone at the Club.

Mancini didn't want him to leave - he could have stayed here as long as he wanted and become an attacking version of the squad players they have had at the Swamp over the years (O'Shea,Wes Brown,Phil Neville). It seems to me that he has seen losers such as Downing play for England more than him and he has decided he wants 50 + Engalnd Caps.

We went 35 years without winning anything and this Lad has played his part in changing that. True he isn't Yaya or Kompany or Barry but he has definately played his supporting role well.

Anyone who doesn't wish him all the best needs to take a good hard look at themselves.
great post that

Matt,

Do you watch the games? Width?! See how many players we get down the wings and how often. AJ's problems are a complete lack of pace, no defensive capabilities, a big mouth and a penchant for a night out. NOT Mancini's cup of tea....unless he performs like a world class player, because the REAL ONES ARE treated with kid gloves at times.

He doesn't fit, because he is unwilling to do what is asked of him. Perhaps it is more unable than unwilling, but either way, the job does not get done. Therefore, he is not fit for purpose in a world class squad aiming for the upper echelons of European football.

Maybe that's his opinion and he's entitled to it, I too am glad AJ has gone, match of the day player, if there is a definition of one AJ is it. No need to label us who wanted AJ gone as low intelligence as I pretty much bet my IQ I'd considerably higher than yours.

I wish him well, I hope he goes on to get 50 caps, but you are right that he is the kind of player we used to have. Like Wright Phiilips. He seems like a good lad, but really he's not good enough for a title winning side, not being arrogant or spoilt about it, but he's not good enough for City in 2012.

He's a Match of the Day player - people who don't watch much football and just watch highlights think he's a world beater. I bet his YouTube video would be great, but over 90 minutes in the Premier League he just doesn't do enough. No pace, doesn't want the ball enough, goes missing for large chunks of the game, just doesn't get involved enough. I wish him well, but I won't lose any sleep about him going.

Quite. Little englander iq-obsessed stoic stiff upper lip passionless attitude that belongs only on the Internet and frustrating conversations with daily mail readers who still believe there's only two categories of people conservatives and plebs. If you feel it say it, life's too short for holding back.

I can't argue much with your points and although I can't afford to go to the games and do watch some of them on Sky. I get what you are saying. However I still maintain that Mancini could have treated AJ better and it's a dissapointing transfer out.

I'm very disappointed that AJ has been sold. I can only think that there must have an underlying reason, not that he wasn't good enough. Just have a look back at the goals and assists from last season, where the perception is he played very little football. He's a player who can have a real impact on a game and also exciting to watch. I for one hope he's a great success and continues in the England set-up.

No the reason was he wanted first team(starting) football and Mancini told him he was not going to be a regular. Mancini has done the right thing for AJ and the club. Sinclair would of been told of his role and is happy to come in. Obviously Sinclair will feel with a lot of hard work and effort he could get a starting role, while I doubt that it may well benefit us more than a very unhappy AJ coming off the bench

DON'T USUALLY SHOUT BUT LET ME SAY THIS MANCINI DIDN'T WANT HIM TO GO ADAM JOHNSON WANTED TO PLAY FOOTBALL SO HE ASKED TO LEAVE HE DIDN'T WANT TO BE A SUPER SUB LIKE THE MAJORITY OF THE SCUM PLAYERS WHO HANG AROUND FOR THE GLORY........

This is over-exagerated. I looked on AJ's wiki page last season and he made 38 appearances in all comps for City. He was getting games and a player with his ability had the opportunities to make himself a regular.

Very disappointed he has gone, but I think that was entirely down to the player. In my view he's ducked a challenge. But what do we know as supporters. Views with little insight.

He does support Sunderland as well which probably pushed him a little more than another club would of

The guys been crap for well over a year now, even in the pre season friendlies this summer he looked shocking. There is no point keeping a player on such high wages just to come on when we're winning 3-0. Will be interesting to see what Sinclair gives us if he does come I think his pace will be a big asset and show us what we've been missing.

It would be easier to wish AJ well for the future had he been a model professional during his time with us - he clearly was not and that is why indifference is my attitude towards him

Good luck Jonno, i hope you realise your potential at Sunderland. A pity henever made the grade at city but will be missed for his important goals and assists.

@AJohno_11 posting on twitter in last few mins...

Thankyou for all the messages and support everyone! Shame it never worked out different at city, had some great times there and made some great friends who i will miss! Now looking forward to the new challenge at Sunderland and get playing again!!!
