To be honest this whole case has me shocked. At first (havine seen a pic of the girl) i was kinda on johnsons side. Dont know if anyone else has seen but if i were pressed id have said she was about 22. Obviously i assumed the 'highly paid footballer duped' line but then he goes an says he knew her age. Wow so therefore he is a straight out fiddler.dunno part of me perhaps shaded by my view on the evans case thinks hes been had but hes admitting it, well most of it. Think the evans case casts a massive shadow here

Do you tut tut at 40 year old men dating 20 year old girls or 50 year old men having sex with 25 tear old girls. I'm not obsessed at all, I think someone in their late 20s wanting sex with someone who is a mid teenager is strange, you think its perfectly normal and irrelevant, says more about you than me. I understand that in a nightclub she may have looked older, but that wasnt the case here, he groomed her over social media and knew her age, that is nonce behaviour. Its about emotional maturity as much as physical, a girl of 16 has little life experience and this comes across as soon as you talk to them, an older man should know better, Johnson didnt. If Johnson was a late teenager then I would understand it a bit more, he'd have more in common with her and have a similar outlook on life, that is where it is morally ambiguous and the law could be argued, it is medically proven that teenager's brains react differently to adults. Johnson is a fully grown man, with a girlfriend and child, isnt normal behaviour, he is a **** and proved it with a ****'s trick.

I'm sorry, but I just can't feel sorry for him. He's on 50 grand a week and has a beautiful wife and child. Even if he did want "a bit of fresh", there are more than a few women in Sunderland /Newcastle who would be more than willing for a bit on the side with him. Girls of 18, 19, 20 year old, still young, if that is his thing, but no. He groomed this young girl, who he knew was only 15. It doesn't matter if she was only an hour short of 16, because in my eyes, she would still have been too young. It looks like he has tried to do some sort of deal to try and get a lower sentence by admitting to some of the charges, but I suspect he will be found guilty of those as well (I think we can all guess what they are). he has screwed his life forever and if his partner has any sense she will sue him for half his shit and take the kid away somewhere and start a new life.

Sadly he's probably earned enough by the age of 28 for him not to have to work again ... possibly more than most of us will earn in a lifetime.

Okay, his income has just been severed but he'll still, probably, be reasonably comfortable once he comes out of court/prison. Sorry but I have no sympathy whatsoever and, if proven guilty, I hope that someone takes away his little nest egg and he has to try and make ends meet .... good luck (not) trying to find work with a criminal record as a paedophile!
