Adam Johnson - Potentially how good?

Ask me in a years time, i've seen to many down the years built up to early.

I do have a good feeling about him though.

Judge him in another year, let's not all get too excited to soon!

The lad has potential to be world class, time is on his side, he's still very young and still learning, if the money doesn't get to his head and he continues with his spot on attitude towards the game he's gonna go really far.

It could turn out to be one of the best bits of business the club has ever done. Hopefully he'll stay clear of injury and keep on progressing. He has the hunger, and you can see it every time he gets the ball.

Incidentally I overheard one of the office nobs going on about him today. He oozes united class apparently, and will be there in 2 seasons.. Their support really is full of proper whoppers, which I remind them of DAILY

He's Englands only skillfull player, he's the only one with the balls to try anything special, he's one of the only wingers that can actually cross with some sort of consistency, well really he's one of the only consistent performers (for us obviously) and that time the crowd started giving him stick was ace when he signaled 3-1 to them...

Every good national side has at least 1 skillfull flair player in their XI, and if England want to achieve anything, he has to be the first name on the teamsheet.

In the past, he wouldn't have turned out much, 'cos past managers rated work ethic above skill level.

If you have a look at good club sides there's always someone who can take on a man and beat them consistently. Adam J has shown he can beat two or three in a couple of square yards, so those who double and triple mark will have to consider sticking four of their men on him!

Villa = Downing 12 mill :(

City = Johnson 7 mill :)

i said a bit back that he is our best signing,that position is so hard to fill, brilliant will either foot.
best bit though is his grit, he seems to have come up the hard way, i'm sure middlesboro wont have been an easy ride to recognition.

the scary bit is he so nearly went to sunderland, had that move come about he would not have been a england regular by now, scary for us and england.
7m, lol, we are ruining the north east:)

For the £8M we paid (with the add ons included) this lad must be breaking most other PL managers hearts.
Anyone could have had him,but most didn`t want to gamble !!
Well fucking tough shit !!
By no means the finished article and he will need a few rests over the coming months,but if he can become our Giggs,in the talent sense, then we really are looking at a true star.
No need to swear.

-- Fri Sep 10, 2010 10:15 am --

HE IS NOT GOING TO PLAY FOR A STUMP INTERNATIONAL SIDE HE WILL BE WORLD CLASS BECAUSE HE WILL HAVE AN INTERNATIONAL CAREER PLAYING IN TOURNAMENTS UNLIKE THE ILLEGITIMATE ONE.
