What was the starting line up for our game?? Didn't McGivern score??? How Many times did he start last season when we won the fa cup and finished 3rd????

Yeah it really helped our team improve.

Player improve on training as well as games.

Remember De Jong? Remember Zabaleta shite when they first came to City but all of a sudden improved just like that.

I'm sorry my thread caused offence to you and cause you to click on it and waste them 10 seconds of your life reading it, I'll make sure it will never happen again.

That comment was pointless. In fact a cocktail stick has more points.

Give up your day job, you should be a comedian.

Its funny that the only thing out of his 45mins on the pitch was that he looked quicker maybe it was he was never running with the ball cos every time he got it he lost it or give it away for me he was the only player who failed to impress.

I was only saying that Johnson was looking faster then last season, when we played Notts County he was finding it hard beaming past their players so I think how shit or good the opponents are is irrelivant.

To be honest I'd rather read these (possitive) threads about players then some shite that goes around.

It's a pre-season friendly it doesn't matter.

It doesn't matter that our players look like they could be improving some aspects of their game?

If friendlies didn't matter do you think they wouldn't bother with them then?

I'm still finding out why you feel the need to go on every topic you don't like and call them pointless??? Is it summer holidays already?

To answer your question OP pace is not something that can be taught, you either have it or you don't (slow twitch or fast twitch muscle fibres). Their fullback was slow which made AJ look faster than he is. Weiss on the other hand is rapid. Theres been alot made of AJ last night and a few negative comments but all it is, is game rust. He'll soon be firing for the Community Shield.

I just thought maybe AJ had not been taught pace (of course) but improved his stamina or something as his legs looked a lot faster then usual, but like you said it was probably due to their full back. I just think if AJ can improve on his speed our counter attacking game can improve a lot to like when we had Bellamy on the wing.

Hopefully he has worked on his stamina because too many times last year he was blowing out of his arse after 60 minutes ;-). If AJ had Weiss' pace he'd be deadly imo

I always feel he tries to do too much, he's like what Ronaldo was like when he first signed for ManUre, step over, step over, shimmy, step over, fall over, loose ball. He needs to learn to pass sometimes as he has played some good through balls in the past and he can be a major thorn in defenders sides.
