Wouldn't sell him full stop. Great English prospect who is only going to get better. Why sell we don't need the money and he will do well for us when he plays. He's not the finished article but he's learning and will be a big part of this squad for the next 5 to 6 years.

Yeah, said something similar on the AJ thread a couple of months ago when the Dippers wanted him (allegedly).

We don't need the money, he's going to play a decent number of games this season, he's happy here, so why on earth would we sell, particularly to a top 4 rival (not worrying about ffp just yet ;)).

I don't think he's going to be a world beater, but he's a very good young(ish) home grown player so we should definitely rebuff any approaches imo. And I'm sure we will.

Not a case of hating AJ or him being lined up as a boo boy imo. If he stays, fine, he's a decent player and a good squad member but personally if someone offered us 20m, I think we should take it. I don't see him being a regular starter and I think 20m is a good price for one of our subs. He hasn't kicked on at all in the last 12 months.

If Chelsea,scum,liverpool, Spuds or Arsenal wanted him we'd be up in arms..

It wouldn't bother me unduly who we sold him to, just as I'd be quite happy to keep him. If he was currently at another club and he had the form he had for us generally last season then I wouldn't want City to sign him for 20m, let's put it that way. Let's hope he progresses again next season.

I don't really understand this 'prospect' talk with AJ, he's 24, a year younger than Milner or Silva and we don't talk of them as prospects we reasonably, imo, expect them to deliver now. I think he needs to up his game a lot if he wants to start games, he very rarely has an impact when he plays the full 90, that's on the rare occasions he's not dead on his feet after 70 mins. At the minute i think he's a brilliant impact sub but I don't expect him to start many games.

If only Mancini would play him on the left - where he should be. This, incidentally, would bring out the best in Dzeko too!

Hes played on the left plenty of times and produced nothing. He started like a house on fire and looked a really good prospect but he hasnt improved in the last 6 months. He hasnt got enough pace or skill to play as an out and out winger so thats why he plays on the right where he can cut inside.
What we need is a winger who can get past his man and put a ball in the middle but AJ cant do this. Maybe Vladi is the answer, we'll have to wait and see.
