AJ is as good as there is. Not easy trying to break down packed defences away from home. It's hard enough at home

Weiss is certainly better in current form than Johnson in current form. Not better than Johnson was at his best but that best is gone and does not look to be coming back. Johnson offers nothing, Weiss is by no means a great player but can at least trouble full-backs even in tight spaces, get beyond them, and get a cross in. Oh, and he can take set-pieces, something we seem to be having problems with.

Just before he came on, we were hitting them on the break and Baines was upfield a lot leaving that side very open. It was made for him to come on, although it should have been for Barry not Milner.

Unfortunately for us and Johnson, they then put 11 men behind the ball and crowded us out, he did all he could, but just like the other 10 players, couldn't make a breakthrough.

You can't single out Johnson for his performance tonight.

He attempted a cross, couldn't beat the first man as per though. Just like Johnson though, can't really criticise Kolarov tonight, not enough time and didn't do anything worse than the players that started.
