I lived in the bars in town from 17 to 19, always found after work in Edwards then on to whichever bar was having a party.
I was pretty street smart though and knew most dodgy cunts at least well enough to nod on to and not get hassle.
(i used to sell knocked of gear around town)

No idea how it is for kids nowadays but the phone stuff does not sound good at all.
I hope against hope he is found alive, even if he took a beating as long as he is found alive.

Just had to go near there and the canal is blocked off and swarming with police a PCSO said his last mobile signal was from the canal area and a trainor was found on the tow path but wouldn't say if they thought it was his , not looking good :(

last year that Blue went off on his own after a party near Goyt Mill and ended up in the river Goyt and was found a few days later.

Slightly off topic.

I've just moved to the bottom of Bredbury (just behind the power station near where the lad was found) and walk my dog the other side of the Goyt (bottom of Woodbank/Vernon Park).

I can't for the life of me work out, regardless of how pissed he was, how he got to wear he did.

I'm not trying to suggest anything, just puzzles me.

Helicopters out at the moment. They're putting a lot of resources into it at least.

I hope the trainer that was found is not his, they're lots of them about.
But it's very worrying when the police are so active so soon.

His dad is copper in Stockport, my brother was out yesterday morning with him and everyone from the station.

Hope he's ok, but it's not looking good now

This is horrid. i have a 12 year old daughter and the thought of her being out alone in town in 5 years is scary. Hope they find him.

I'm 19 now got a bird aswell so don't go out as much but at 17 when your caught up with going out in Manchester and drinking much more than you can handle you get caught up in it, my mindset was that I was a man now and I'd like to see someone try it with me, daft not looking back and extremely dangerous few of my mates still end up getting too pissed and walking back to salford alone and that's when you're most vulnerable, massive sympathy towards what this lads family are going through and really hope it's not the outcome we are all worrying about

Just what I was thinking. If he was okay, surely he'd have been in touch with someone, even a mate? Looking very grim now, hope I'm wrong.
