You have to have 3 keepers in the squad. U21s don’t need to be in the squad, so the 3rd keeper is always going to be an elderly one who doesn’t need to play anymore and is a quasi coach too.

They’ve got to be at least Association Trained as it’s a total waste of an overseas spot.

Karius is Club trained, I think, and wouldn’t demand to play.

Looked distinctly out of place at the Etihad a week ago, but you can’t judge any player on one bad game. Problem, as always, is fee! We already did it once for a homegrown Phillips and it blew up in our face because he didn’t have the discipline needed for Pepball. Glasner seems like a very organized coach, so who knows?

There's room in the squad for Gonzales, Rodri, Wharton, Wirtz, O'Reilly, Foden in the midfield next season. We need to ensure that players aren't "overplayed". There will be a need for many of the existing squad to leave but that looks on the cards
