The £23.5m they got up front might be a little better though.20% is just as good.
We put our foot down on Garcia only to allow ourselves to be shafted by Fulham. There is just no defending this. It’s a derisory fee, even for a player with a year left on his contract. Taken in context with our other sales, heads should roll!

Let’s say he plays well, Fulham go down and other clubs look to pick him up, looking at the fee for Godfrey who just had a similar situation they’ll likely be looking at around a £20 million fee, you can even push it to a hefty £30 million if he’s somehow outstanding that still at a seemingly beyond realistic figure nets us £6 million on top of the “up to” 2 we get it’s still a pittance. We sign kids for Girona for more than that.Whilst the fee is ridiculously low, the 20% sell on clause could be very lucrative, plus it sends a message to future academy players that we will improve you and make you a better player with an opportunity to play for us if you are good enough, but we will facilitate you a good move elsewhere if necessary. They win either way and would be open to return to us if things develop that way.
No, it obviously isn't.Short term but playing the long game is better. Still huge pressure on Brewster especially with the fee.
