In our defence (all of the mods that is) we do try to stop this happening when we see it, by splitting topics etc, but if you feel it's getting out of hand, you can say something yourself (one of the great strengths of this forum is that by and large it moderates it's-self) or if you don't feel up to it, click the report button (its anonymous)

No need to defend yourself mate, I wasn't attacking you or the mods in general, I reckon you do a great job most of the time, I'm not asking for any changes (learnt my lesson from my "clean forum" rant), just saying what changes I'd like to see, answering the OP question.

To be fair some of the barny's that erupt can be very funny too.

TBH, it's more than some of them. The sure signs are, someone could start a thread about favourite jacket potato fillings that gets 3 responses in an hour. Then you check back in another hour and it has 10 pages, you know there's trouble at t'mill.
