Ade will only leave if players of David villa, Torres and Higuains ilk are brought to the club should we get a CL spot! I quite like Ade but if any of the afore mentioned sailed into eastlands then Ade would be a distant memory tbh!
I'd rather have Ade to be honest. I think he has a better all around game, in the Premier League at least.

Villa and Tevez would leave us a little short up front in terms of physicality. Torres has been injury ravaged. I rate Higuain highly, but i wouldn't put him ahead of Adebayor personally. Sometimes players sound better simply because we don't see them play every week.

I like Ade too, but I would never choose him ahead of Torres. Torres is the identikit Premier League striker. He is the best player in the league by some distance IMO.

Obviously the downside is his fitness, which probably does remove him from the top bracket at the moment as you can't rely on him, but Ade is prone to injury too.

Given that we (unlike Pool) could afford to rest Torres appropriately, he is the one player that would catapult us into the very top bracket of teams.

Torres for me is by far and away the best finisher in the leauge but best player? His all round game isn't as good as Drogba or Rooney, outside of the box he doesn't have much influence whereas Drogba and Rooney can come deep and influence games

No question Braggster, Torres is the best in the buisness.

Would have totally agreed with you until yesterday. Torres missed some 'sitters'. ARGUABLY he is the reason why Liverpool lost yesterday.
Without his goals where do you think Liverpool standing be this season?

Disagree totally. He doesn't have an 'all round' game like Rooney, but he is a far better striker. His ability to make a goal out of nothing, his pace and his movement mean that he is FAR more than a 'finisher'. The bonus of having Torres is that merely lumping the ball up the pitch - which no one can stop you doing - actually has a decent chance of ending up with a chance of a goal. Also, he is a rare example (Drogba being another) of a forward who can credibly play as a lone striker and put the whole defence on the back foot.

Yes, he doesn't come deep as much as Rooney or Drog, but he threatens defences in behind far more than either. Better player than either of them when fit IMO, and markedly so.

torres....plagued by injury this season...i can see him having similar problems to michael owen to be honest which would be a shame as he is undoubted class

however...all the other options are unproven at premiership level (and that includes David Villa)......could they cope with the physicallity of the premiership

we know Ade can

im not saying i wouldnt like to see someone like villa or torres at city but NOT at the expense of Ade

it is a squad game and we need 4 top class strikers

tevez is one
ade is two
bellamy is three but how long will his knees hold out
forgot rsc as his injuries will mean he never has an impact

therefore we need definately one but maybe two (eventually) top class strikers within the next few seasons

ade
tevez
plus 2 others within the next couple of yrs

i do however think also that David Villa could struggle in the prem......he looks amazing at valencia but its a slower less physical league and not all players can make the cross over

Rooney and Torres, now that would be some strikeforce!
