i've spoken with a number of people and we're all of the same opinion - it looks like he's guilty but there is enough of an element of doubt. a player's face is usually a good indication, and there didn't appear to be any malice when his foot went down. if this went to a crown court, there is no way he could be found gulity.

He's already been tried by the Sky media and been given a guilty verdict....I'm sure the FA will ban him, only question is when and for how long?

I've found myself defending Ball and Thatcher before now. We're blinded by the shirt.

Precedents eg Neville getting afine for running to the Liverpool fans have been set, but Adebayor has been succesfully demonised over th Summer as a mercenary by the media so he's a soft target

In all honesty it does look like he's made a move for him, but I do think it looks worse in slow motion.

Other players have committed as bad or worse and got away with it. The celebration thing is just nonsense really.

The foot he had is weight on was turning over, he had no option but to put his other foot down to maintain his balance after the abysmal challenge by RVP.
