Adebayor (merged)

We've got ahead of ourselves with this one and my money is on Ade staying at Arsenal now.

Eto'o would be the only other player we could sign to match Adebayor and even then I honestly think Ade would have been a better long term signing.

This is why I hate getting excited about these transfers.

I agree, Sky are normally first and accurate but people on here seem to think they've got it in for us and stir shit.

I'll be keeping an eye out for bias in future.

No they haven't that's my point, papers speculate end of, fact is too many people believe that because an article is printed it must be true.

We know a few things and Sky have been on the ball. No doubt their sources will confirm what they know tomorrow. We know the work permit was granted so that's good news, I am confident this will be finished by Friday purely because Arsenal want to sell.
 
Yeah, it's possible but the story definitely has legs.

Cooke should be tucking Ade in tonight to make sure this deal happens!

Adebayor was obviously our 'Plan B' after Eto'o and Barcelona took eons to sort anything out. If we sign Adebayor, we obviously would have no 'need' for Samu. Just to back up what Diego is saying, my I.T source told me at 12:16pm that Adebayor was at Carrington, so the deal must be quite close to completion it would seem.

To be fair weren't they saying he was stalling when this first broke? If we hear nothing tomorrow I'll be seriously worried.

Talk of Ade NOT signing being a good thing is absolute rubbish. He's exactly what we need to take us to another level.

I hear what you are saying but,with City and all the signings we have made,we are able to measure if you like how the deals are going...With Tevez there was a delay.We suspected due to 3rd party owner,FA,League,on loan etc.But all the others had no isues and the deals were done and dusted,except for eto;o.And I;m talking after the clubs have said yes we are selling.So with that experiance I think Adebayor is looking like Eto;o all over again.
