Adebayor (merged)

fuck me lol everyone calm down and chill the deal will go through. Did you expect city to confirm a deal of this size at 8pm?

the 2 papers that have got people flapping

1. The daily mail - extract 'However, United turned down the opportunity to open negotiations and City are still expected to sign the Togo international after he was granted a work permit in Manchester on Wednesday'.
<a class="postlink" href="http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1199950/Adebayors-agents-turn-United-City-balk-wage-demands.html?ITO=1490" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... l?ITO=1490</a>

2. The guardian - extract 'City remain hopeful that Adebayor will be able to join them during their 10 days in South Africa and agree a move that will take Mark Hughes's spending through the £200m mark since he was appointed as City's manager 13 months ago'.
<a class="postlink" href="http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/jul/15/emmanuel-adebayor-manchester-city-arsenal" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009 ... ty-arsenal</a>

so 1 says city are still hopeful to complete a deal and the other expects the deal to happen so CALM DOWN!

Not the dreaded "100%" I hate that nearly as much as when players say they give it 110%.

If he's not signed its not 100% yet.

I still don't understand Ric's invisible thread. It was taken down due to duplication? Eh? So where's the remaining one then?

Am I being thick? This is confusing. Not flapping just can't follow the thread at the moment.

Who said it was duplicated? City will have asked him to pull it down. They have done it before so wouldnt be amazed if they had again in this case. I didnt see any duplicate and as you say where is it now then? It lasted a few mins then it was gone.

Every single paper, tabloid and broadsheet, has gone with the "He's asked for more time to think about it" line so you can either take that at face value or bury your head in the sand.
