You can tell your source that if Ned goes to Scouse 2 as part of Lescott deal then Hughes has single handedly ruined all the previous good work as far as I´m concerned - hope it´s wrong

completely fucking agree; losing sturridge is one thing but Ned is a great lad as well as a great player, miles better prospect than Lescott, why do it, we hardly need the money? Who is saying he might be going?

Same here, I'll be well pissed off if that happens. Can't see the logic either, we'll still have the same number of CBs and then have to go looking for a quality replacement for Ned and a squad player.

I really hope MH doesn't go for the Ned/Lescott swap - Ned will be a star in a few years as he's a great player, has a fantastic attitude that's very rare amongst modern footballers, and is actually a Blue - which I think its important to have at least one of in the squad!

It would cost us far more in the long run to get someone like him back again once he's gone - I'd much rather see us pay £20million than £15million plus Ned. I just hope MH is of the same opinion.

Spot on mate and what Everton want and what they get may well be two very different things! but Ned will definately come into the equation, trust me ;)

oh and Pam, apologies if this is posted in the wrong thread, I thought you had to respond to questions in the same thread not go hopping from one to the other. As stated previoulsy I am new here so lighten up a touch ;)

I'm sure by the 'mentioning of Ned', it was more that Everton were asking about him, not that we were willing to agree. At least any sensible manager would be of like mind.

Mark....?

This is how an Arsenal fan reported the Talksport interview

"just listened in the car to phil smith of first artist sports management section on talksport.
quite good info given to the danny kelly (virtually every show) with comments on potential transfers in general and his own.

he's a big time agent and is heavily (although not adebayor agent) in this particular deal.
he's coming in from the clubs interest side and said the latest is that 'its in the balance'.
everything is in place to sign and no other club is involved but the longer it drags on it could open that end up.
he said adebayor is coming to terms about it as he only just heard about it on the weekend and expected to be playing abroad, probably will be concluded at the weekend, there was a slight deadline citeh imposed (wanted him for the south africa tour) but that was a bit far fetched given the lack of time this deal is being put together.

i know this is nothing new but its coming from a credible source rather than the odd bits and pieces in the papers. "

No he didn't.

He said the fee, terms and conditions were 100% agreed, however,Adebayor wants time to mull things over as he is unsure if it is in his best interests. He expects the deal to be concluded, one way or the other, over the weekend.

Why would he have to think about it. Is he thick? The gooners loathe him and City are offering to double his money. Why is he confused about what course of action would be in his best interests? Is he worried about getting into our first team? I highly doubt it.

Wanker alert.
