Adebayor (merged)

It seems perfectly simple.

He's agreed terms with City but has asked for a couple of days to "think it over". He's using that time to see if any Champions League teams will come close to City's offer. They won't. He'll sign Monday (probably).

It wasn't his agent - this guy was working on behalf of Arsenal. So he has no reason to lie.

Didn't listen to Talkshite anyway, just going of what people on here were saying.

Either way, the Daily Mail report is drivel.

project is right, it isn't his agent, but someone who is involved in the deal.

EXACTLY. This is key.

He's working FOR ARSENAL so doesn't want to piss off City. If we get word off Ade's agents looking for a move elsewhere we'll pull the plug on £25M and Chelsea won't pay that up front like City will. They may even only go to £20M but if Ade would rather go there and Arsenal really want to sell then that's the deal they'll have to take.

Oh right, so you're gonna believe a bullshitter from the Daily Mail or Adebayor's agent?

I know who I'd believe.

Yeah I worded that badly, I've been saying in this thread not to believe the rags aswell but there comes a point where you have to put the events in front of you together.

It's not looking good to me.

Well that contradicts everything his agent has just said on talkshyte.

I don't think that Phil Smith is his agent, but someone closely involved in the deal.

He was adamant that all personal details where agreed and no other club was involved.

So like the bullshit rag story, I am inclined to think this is nonsense by the Mail.

The Daily Mail do however seem to be the one paper who relate to City and this would back up why MH last night stated talks were are at an advanced stage and tonight refuses to discuss the issue!
