Adebayor (merged)

Sorry if already posted.....SSN - adebauyor having a work permit application meeting in manchester tomorrow....its happening boys, its happening

wenger is one of the really few that i might have respect for. and his business background will defo rule out a 40mil aguero purchase. he is a realist and he will most likely go for chamakh or sakho.

My feelings exactly, but who plays where, there is gonna be some fierce competition for places.

The Press Release above notes that work permit criteria for the 1999/2000 football season are to be as follows:-

Players must have appeared in 75% of their country's competitive international 'A' team fixtures in the previous two years;
Permits will be valid for the length of a player's contract with the club;
The FIFA ranking of the player's national side aggregated over 2 years (at or above 70th place) is a basic criterion.

Says on good old Wikipedia that Adebayor has played 38 games for Togo, surely that will do :)
Also MUCH more importantly, Ade was given a new contract by Arsehole as recently as late-2008. Eg, they'd have to get a new work permit for his new contract...
