joking aside i've often thought of swp as right back! its just his height he'd get murdered at far post crosses, cuz apart from that he'd be excellent in our formation, he'd be up and down all day which is what are full backs need to do plus he'd be better than most full backs in the opposition final third, plus he may be small but he'd get stuck right in!

Joe Royle played him as a wing back when he first broke into the first team if I remember rightly.

He just isnt tall enough to deal with any aerial threat in defensive situations. Evra is a bit taller than him and gets taken to the cleaners by tall forwards time and time again. We could get away with it in emergency situations against average sides but it would be murder against anyone decent.
