Adebayor (Merged)

Christ almighty. Some of the narrow minded freaks on here are absolutely laughable. Who on earth gives a shit what F*ing shirt Adebayor was wearing while he's off on compassionate leave, really. At what point on the spectrum does it become an issue? Its really not is it, it just stinks of people with nothing better to do than create a shit storm over absolutely nothing. So a few members of an internet coven disagree with Adebayor's fashion sense and his choice of clothing, So what? So he wore an Arsenal top, so what?
I wonder how many of the moaning bitches on here that I've read have replica shirts from over clubs in their wardrobes that they wheel out for their holidays. I myself have a Real Madrid top, an Argentina top, a Barcelona top, Valencia, River Plate etc. that I have worn at least once each over the past year or so. Does it make me any less of a Man City fan? No, dont be bloody stupid, course it doesnt. How this is even an issue is ridiculous, the media dont give a shit, they are reporting the actual news of a fatal shootong that goes above and beyond football.
Grow up moaners, you're like a bloody wives club, and you're beginning to sound just like the fans from across the road that we used to berate for this exact type of thing not so very long ago.

No, infact I fucking hate argueing actually. When something needs defending though i'll fucking well defend it, whether it makes me appear as a bad smell or not. On this occasion there are wankers slating Ade for something which is basically nothing, therefore seeing as he deserves the benefit of doubt, I will defend him. Part of that is me asking the tough guys slating him if they would have it out with him as to why he wore that top. You said you would, therefore I am saying there is an opportunity to do just that, without going out of your way, as you put it. Just politely ask him as he enters the stadium, no big deal. All I can foresee though is snide looks towards you from the other players and fans there at that time, and perhaps an angry Adebayor asking who the fuck you think you are asking him what he was doing at a time his head was in a million pieces.

like i said before, ive not slagged him off, i just think he was wrong for doing it and it was you who asked the question, would you say that to his face and i said yes, which i stand by.
you need to read my posts properly because i'll say it again ive not slagged the guy off.
you are the one getting all aggressive with yer bad self and slagging fans off for having a different opinion than you, even now your throwing in the sly, back handed shit, 'tough guys' etc which is obviously aimed at me. im no tough guy mate but i can certainly look after myself.
i'd not posted on this thread for ages till i had to defend myself against your bitchy posts!
you need to have a word with yourself mate honest.

You may not have slagged him off, but plenty have. You said though you would be willing to ask him, and I am saying well go and do it then. I am not getting 'bad' as you put it, I am defending a player of OUR FUCKING CLUB, who is being vilified for something which has nothing to do with us. You said you would ask him why, and I am suggesting what would happen if you did ask him. I know, as i'm sure many on here do, what its like to grieve, but I don't know what its like to grieve following a murder, a senseless one at that, (senseless as in it is to do with football, the most trivial and pointless murder ever). Therefore if I was in such grief because of that, and I had millions of fans back home, I would kick right off if I knew someone had the gaul to ask me why I wore a fucking shirt, rather than actually be concerned for me.

I honestly dont know why people are getting this heated about it,i for 1 couldent give a shit as long as when he strats playing again he dose the buisness on the pitch,he might actually be an arsenal fan and so fuckin what if he is.

Lets face it he has bein shit for a few weeks now for us,but what has happend over there could now go 2 ways for me
he could strart to play as if each game was his last(which would be good for us)or he could loose the plot compleatley and walk away from football, and i for 1 couldent blame him if he chose the latter, after all how many people on here actually know what its like 2 be shot at for half an hour,my guess not many!!!!!

100% agree with you, I don't see what the fuss is all about. even when I first found out i shrugged my shoulders, never mind nearly 24hrs afterwards in 'the cold light of day'

Then again I did wear my Barcelona top to the shops earler on so maybe my opinion is invalid

So, what do you suggest? Should we sack Ade, fine him, give him away or what?

Don't be silly, sacking him would be an over-reaction. I think this is a situation in which all you can do is frown upon it and hope that when he comes back he pulls his finger out. Wearing an arsenal shirt is a stupid thing to do even considering the circumstances, but a fine wouldn't be appropriate

You're well out of order. How dare you wear anything which has something to do with a club other than ours. Watch your back is all I can say ;-)

Exactly.

We can all piss and moan but we all know full well that given the chance to discipline him we'd all just let it go.

If we want to finish top 4 then he's vital.

If one good thing has come out of the Ade Shirtgate Affair, it's that it has given Pigeonho a purpose in life once again.

Having spent the previous six months berating and threatening any City fan who dared to criticise Hughes before finally admitting defeat... I felt that the poor lad's time was up.. nothing to defend, nothing to pop his neck veins over...

And then along comes the Ade polo shirt thread... like manna from heaven.

And the lad comes good! Post after post, repeating the same thing...

When Hughes was being criticised, Pigeonho's counter argument was "say it to his face and he'll batter ya!"... now it's a similar line of telling any critics of ade to "tell it to his face and he''ll batter you!"... adding that he would come along and watch.

And no, this is not Junior School.

Weird.

Apart from Ealing Blue2 I've never known a City fan so abusive to other City fans. I think he fucking hates us!
