that is where i first saw it , as i said i was sat right up at the top near the singers and it definaetly WASNT being sung up there.
as most of you have said it will just be small minoritys and it will obviously die down before the start of the season.

Sorry if this causes offence and I don't intend to, but:

Adebayor, Adebayoor
His father cleans elephants
His mum is a whore

To be singing that is an absolute disgrace never mind to your own player ffs. Those that were singing this aren't fans. Spurs sing this to Ade and it is sickening just thinking that City 'fans' sing this to him, shocking.

I can't imagine any City fan singing about his mum like that, that would be crazy, but I don't see how it's racist.

I was there - heard Ticket for Schalke's version in City end and that was it. The Barnsely fans were singing the racist version, but then gave Ade a round of applause when he went off???!!!

ive heard on here , that some groups of blues were singing "adebayor , dad washes elephants , his mum whore" i was sat right at the top and didnt hear it , i was sat right near all the singers , ive just had a conversation with my dad (he didnt go)when i told him he was quite pissed off , can anyone confirm if this is true , if so , what the fuck , i hope it dosent carry on into the season , because if it does i cant see most fans tolerating it ,which i mean end up saying something then end up fighting each other (which is the last thing we need) . lets try and keep it together .
Thats not what was sung, hung like an elephant , wife's a bit sore. deffo!

was the song actually sung though.

Not the one you came up with.
Its quite clear that a lot of the people who have posted on this thread neither heard or attended the game at Barnsley. Anyone who was there will tell you that the song which was sung was not the sort of thing you'd say in front of your Mum but wasn't offensive in the way some are putting it over. I never heard the word whore used at all.
By all means be sanctimonious but get your facts right beforehand.

I still haven't found out how the racist version goes. Unless people saying that someone who washes elephants in a country full of elephants is racist or summat? Surely it's just saying that his dad has a shyt job.

what happened to this great darts song you've all bin loving, you all go on like it's the best thing since sliced bread then none of you can even get it going, must try harder!

I know, i was getting grief off the dude who made it up last week because i said "oh Adebayor, when he shoots he scores, and the City roar, oi oi oi!" sounds better than "oh Adebayor, when he shoots he scores, and the City sing, oi oi oi!"
and he told me to try and outsing him and his crew with my different word over his and pointed out he is "the south stand"! But it never got sung anyway!? JOKE!
