Interesting...

Spurs are going to continue to suffer until they start to pay realistic wages for top players. I read somewhere Modric is on £45k/week, he can easily double that at any of the top clubs. They can pride themselves on their budgets but as long as they pay less than half what other clubs in the top 6 are paying they are going to continue to lose their top players like Modric.

Wonder if 'Arry feels like a prick now letting Darren Bent go on the cheap, he's not flashy but he guarantees goals if played right.

Yep he does the job season after season no matter where he is, and thats exactly what Spurs need. They must be kicking themselves.

How much did they flick him for?

£16.5 million. I think Harry anticipated the purchase of Rafael van der vaart (who was a steal from their perspective). I think Adebayor would be an excellent buy for them even though it would be acrimonious given his arsenal history. Adebayor certainly isn't a bad player and he's the sort of dynamic goal poacher that spurs would benefit from. Just because he's not playing for city, he's bad.

Adebayor not interested in Spurs switch as City striker waits on Madrid move

Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor will snub a loan move to Tottenham to hold out for a return to Real Madrid, where he spent last season on loan, even if City agree with Spurs to pay part of his £170,000-a-week wages.

They can have him on loan for me if he does not get sold. only they pay all wages or piss off

This, assuming we can't sell him. We had to worry about Spurs this year. The will be a good team, potentially fighting for a CL spot again but it won't but us they are fighting. Why not give them an excellent striker that can hurt our real rivals and who will have to sit in the stands when he plays us.
