Adebayor to Spurs

has anyone thought that the comments made by Ronaldo saying RM dont need Ade seem a bit contrived and planned between Ade and RM?

kind of "we want you, but we will make it look like we are not interested and have city try and keep finding you other teams, which you will reject, but at the last minute we will make a derisory bid and City will have to accept it"

or am I just writing on the walls in biro?

Well sorry you must be blind because over the last 2 or 3 seasons he's certainly been better than swp.

I would keep swp as well tbh. The only worry is Lennon had a shocking loss of form last season.

Maybe Harry knows something we don't ? It's rare he gets done on transfer deals that is the worry. I still think this deal is worth doing simply to get rid on badabayor.

don't think he's a brilliant player full stop. but he did well at times, his pace created the counter and goal in milan. seemed to fall out with twitcher after he was made a scapegoat for pulling out of the madrid game with illness

No No No

If SWP is surpluss to requirements then getting Lennon is just stupid.

Also what alera said about his form, the word regressed should be defined by Lennons last season.

Didn't Lennon and Twitcher have a public feud last season?

lennon had a twatter rant when it appeared that the twitchy twat was making him look a scapegoat for the madrid loss. he pulled out with illness just before kick off

Yes mate, it was about the real second leg match. Harry basically said Lennon bottled it and pulled out just before kickoff with illness.
Lennon replied in the papers or on twitter i forget which, that that was bullcrap he had been taken ill on the previous sunday and spurs medical staff knew it.

Never found out the truth though.

I would be very pissed off if we replaced SWP with Lennon. Completely pointless.
Lennon is a far more dangerous player. At the top level SWP gets caught out, but very few players can cope with Lennon's pace.

I suppose if i look at it from another angle then its not so bad. I mean like we get rid of Ade which can only be a good thing. I would want some cash also, no way is Lennon worth as much as Ade.

That sounds just like Twitcher. Pull out his own player to preemptively shift the blame for an inevitable defeat.

Maybe Lennon wants to work with a professional manager rather than that twitchy bastard.

He is.

Guys, we don't play with out and out wingers. We're more like a team who uses wrong sided wingers to play as out and out wingers at times (if you get me).

Anyone on this forum who calls Lennon any less than 'good' as an out and out winger is heavily mistaken. There are very few who have an easy game with him. I mean honestly, how good does he have to be?

Despite this, he wouldn't be as good for us as he is for spurs. Not by a long shot. He rarely starts wrong-sided and rightly so. Besides, Balo is so amazing that he could be delegated to either side and insinuate that he's played as a winger all his life. Why on earth would we need another inside forward when we've got, arguably, the best one on the market.

It's a left footed inside forward we need. That's why there's heavy speculation on Cerci. Players like Hulk are ones that wouldn't heavily contrast in talent with Balo.

I think letting Ade go to Spurs would be a really really really bad idea. 3 reallies.

They were very unlucky with injuries last season and even so, if they had a half decent striker who could put away the umpteen chances they missed, they could have finished even higher.

And make no bones about it, Ade is a world class striker. His attitude may be questionable, but when he puts his mind to it, he is as good as anyone. Why Mancini never rated him is beyond me.

We write Spuds off at our peril and giving them the very thing they are missing is madness.

Call me arrogant if you like, but I don't think Spuds will even be on our radar this season..Ade or no Ade
