I know this belongs in the TV thread but i feel its worthy of its own thread and the bigger meaning for society to deal with the masculinity problem young children are being fed.

It is one the most powerful, heartbreaking TV shows i have ever seen - the acting is beyond anything and the way it's filmed (one continuous) shot is done superbly.

Made me give my kids a big hug this morning. A must watch for everyone, especially parents of young children.

what worried me most with both boys was the " can you just take this to X for me " knowing drugs are other shit. i used to say anyone asks you to do this tell take it yourself and walk away
the danger still there but older now can use own mind

Enjoyed it...as you say very well acted.
However, I think the ol' toxic masculinity was shoe horned in there, the real problem with the kid was his parents over indulging his temper...prob dressed it up as ''just like his Dad'...

It's grim. But a must see.

This incel thing , 80% of women are only interested in 20% of men
If this is true the implications for society are terrifying

I think it just pinpoints a very confusing age for a 13 year old child, the brain trying to make sense on how to behave with girls, how to deal with rejection, seeing themselves as ugly, how to deal with bullying, what they are being fed on social media and the sexual images they see etc - It's so hard for children of that age in todays world. everyone must do more - hence the meaning of this whole show.

yeah, what would have helped is if they hadn't let the little fecker roam the streets 10.30 at night....mostly we all had the same experiences growing up, but without the social media, difficult to manage I would think!...good luck with your kids fella.

It sounds like Andrew Tate and other red pill arseholes BS. Would like to see the official stats.

that's a big 'but' in my view, the likes of Andrew Tate inspired incel communities are channeling so much hate, anger and confusion into children scrolling through social media - but you are correct, he shouldn't be out that time of night, his parents should be doing more - it's a massive wake up call to society on Parents, Schools, Government etc to do more and be more mindful.
