Advert for Race Leathers in Darwen plays regularly on XS Manchester. 2 Lancastrian women.
Because it is unrepresentative of the community its trying to appeal to.
VW clearly trying to break the link between child (usually female) and knowledgeable parent to drive desire. All these young people empowered to buy expensive shit, but with no money left in the bank. Who’d have thunk it, eh!That VW ad, with the daughter picking up her dad in her new (electric) jalopy. Some way into the journey, pater says, "I'm so glad you didn't get an electric car". What utter bollocks. You'd realise within seconds that you were in a glorified milk float. If you can't tell the difference between travelling in a conventional car compared to an electric one, you need help.
There are more people Welsh people (3.2m) than there are black people (2.4m) in Britain (although some of those Welsh people are black). If we are talking nationally so are the Welsh and Welsh accents. Even less so.

Why? To get people talking, to get people asking why, to get people calling you insecure for asking why, to get people moaning at the adverts that do it, to get people praising the adverts for doing it in response to those moaning, and moaning at each other for either not agreeing or agreeing with it.
It works because everyone falls for it. And the advert gets talked about more.
A quick google search says 7% of couples in the UK are interracial, are 7% of adverts containing interracial couples? I have no idea. Who the fuck watches the adverts haha.
