Adverts that drive you mad

Apologies if already said but that stupid “ Rock Star” series of adverts.

Maybe it’s a thing in America but it makes no sense showing them in this country because nobody ever calls anybody a rockstar in that context. So the whole concept of the advert is redundant here.

Also, it’s a shit advert. Because despite seeing them hundreds of times, I’ve just this moment realised that I’ve still no idea what they’re actually advertising.

Not necessarily an advert which drove me mad but I remember in the late sixties/early seventies there was an advert for a WW2 magazine which had the opening line“Blitzkreig, what a war you missed”
On balance I think I’m glad that I did!

That Bold one that parodies the Spandau Ballet song "Gold".

Anything advertising a car. "55,000 apr on the road!", the voiceover goes while we hear royalty free music pumped out.

Yadda, Yadda, Yadda, whatever..... it's just a metal box on wheels to take you on the road from A to B!.

Been seeing one recently from BT and EE with someone working on a train and the Microsoft Teams sounds going off to show they're working hard. Chat messages, phone calls...

Yet I am sure that anyone who actually works with Teams has grown to absolutely loathe those sounds. Literally makes me recoil as I think "what needy git needs something now?" Not sure they thought that one through.
