You won't get much better than the Nexus mate. Bought one the eldest for Xmas & it's a great bit of kit. Easily on par with those fruit named products.

Depends what you want it for. Blackberry Playbook looks good (for a much cheaper price)to me and has HDMI connevtivity if you want to link it up to a TV. Ipads don't have this but have a larger range of 'Apps' if that's your thing.

I agree with this. My eldest has one too, and it's fast, light, access to Google Play etc etc. There is no reason to pay more for a tablet that will do exactly the same as this one does.Silvercloud said:

Nexus 7, my lad has one and its an awesome little device. My brother has the Galaxy tab 2 10" which stutters on some games where my lads doesn't.
Why not pop into PC World or something and have a play on a few of them, see which you prefer?
