Advice for Ebay....

Discussion in 'Off Topic' started by Tuearts right boot, 31 May 2019.

  1. I've started restoring old British outboard motors and there's one on Ebay I'm after. There is one bid then mine and no auto bids that I'm aware of. To be sure of getting it I'm waiting till the death and then sticking a chunky bid in. My question is will I end paying my full bid amount or will I pay the next incremental amount. Looks like it's going up in £2.00 increments

Next incremental ammount. Just be strict with yourself on your max price and don't get sucked into 'winning' the auction.

  4. Last minute bids ....do it last second.

Don't bid higher than you're willing to pay though. Just in case.

bid the max you are willing to pay for the item, it will only go up by bits not the whole lot

Assuming yours is the highest bid, and above the reserve, you’ll pay the minimum needed to secure it.

It will automatically go off if you have sold it through ebay and not through a best price on email / messages.
