Advice needed re possible speeding ticket

I did that when I sold the car on the 5thJune. The confirmation from the DVLA went to my old address. I only.new this when the new owners posted the letter thru my door. That is when I realised that I might have a problem with regard to the speeding fine I may or may not have been given.
If the people at your old address were good enough to post the DVLA confirmation through your door, why wouldn't they post a Speeding ticket through?

Don't be daft I admitted being over the limit, just pointing out my safety record and never previously having received a summons. I defy anbody to tell me they keep strictly to speed limits.

So you were pissed as well as speeding? ;)

Why will I know by next Friday? If the NIP was sent out to my old address. Have spoken to the people who bought the house. They say they have not received anything in the post. You have 28 days to respond to the NIP. When that time is up with no response from me they will summon me to court. My dilema is should I phone Cheshire Police to see if they have anything on their system about this matter or just wait and see?
Sorry. My mistake (it’s been a while). It is a legal requirement to send the NIP within 14 days. If they haven’t sent it by now they aren’t going to (as long as you trust the new owners and the post). The onus is on them. Not you.

I agree with you, but.. your post came across as being the victim of a money making scam rather than from someone who had actually commited the offence. Go on the course, you may bump into a Home Secretary!!

Maybe the NIP comes in a unmarked unofficial envelope, plus it's been over 4 years since I moved. They could have thought it was just junk mail so chucked it away. The letters they stuck through my letter box looked official and had DVLA as a return address. The NIP comes from Cheshire Police, so it's a different envelope.

I personally think I am a worst driver now than I was before the speeding fines, driver awarness course etc because I am sadly concentrating more on my speedo reading rather than whats happening on the road ahead or around the area I am driving.
My feelings exactly if you spend more time watching your speedometer than where you are going, how does that improve you as a driver?

I have paid the fine by cheque to make things as hard as possible for the authorities.

P.S. Next door neighbour been driving his un-taxed van since 1st January this year, that really does piss me off.

I was travelling to and from Chester on motorway on 2nd June. There was a variable speed limit of 60mph. I was probably doing 70mph on the way there and on the way back. Nothing has arrived in the post re fine.
I then realised when I moved house 4 years ago despite notifying DVLA of my new address, I totally forgot to have my new address changed on my log book. Any potential paperwork will have gone to my old address.

The people who bought my house did forward onto me the proof I sold the car sent by DVLA to my old address. I have asked them if they have had any other letter for me in the past 2 weeks, they have said no.

I am now in a situation where I could end up in court for not responding to any letter sent to me by Cheshire Police even if they were sent to the wrong address.

Should I phone Cheshire Police to ask if I was caught speeding and risk admitting to them that I may have been speeding, or just not do anything?
Don't worry about it, a speeding ticket is irrelevant, Putin will nuke us all soon.
If he's going down he's taking everyone with him.
