AFC Bournemouth (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

That game summed up our league campaign.
Slow, uninspiring football.
Big summer coming up in the transfer window.
Need to go big and get some quality and energy in the squad.
Weird really cos 70% of this squad should be running through brick walls and should be hungry for everything.
Maybe the change in management is coming at the right time.
We ain’t been nowhere near it for the last two seasons.
We’re so far from a Pep team it ain’t even funny.
In terms of press, movement, energy, heart and desire.
Transition season or not we’ve not worked anywhere near hard enough.
Well played Bournemouth.
Also fuck them letter writing cunts.
They’ll get zero congratulations from me.
They tried to put us out of business.
Don’t EVER forget it!!

Think its time for a change folks, and it pains me to say it

I'm just glad Pep is leaving after a decent season where we've won two trophies, it would be painful to watch him leave after a season like last season for example

Roll on next season where we might not recognise a lot of the squad

Let's hope that whoever takes over, if they do, sorts out the woeful corners and total inability for anyone to take a decent free kick. Best team always wins league so congratulations to arsenal .

At least we can just focus on giving the beautiful bald bastard a great send off on Sunday. Get them two Silver pots we've bagged this season on the pitch and sing the Guardiola song for 90 minutes.

Cheers mate. I have to say that was a fucking hard slog against a City team in transition - Lord help us when full-fat City are back.
Congratulations mate. Been a while coming for you bunch and you’d have to say yourself that you probably began to fear the worst after losing at home to Bournemouth and losing the “title decider”.
But we just didn’t have it in us and numerous decisions didn’t go our way.
Can’t say I’ll be wishing you luck against PSG but I hope you enjoy that day.

Well they gave everything and fought to the end.
Those Matchday Forum wankers can fuck right off slagging Pep and these players off.
Bournemouth are an excellent team and had 10 days rest whereas we barely caught our breath after travelling to and from London for the Cup final and then 1 day of preparation before flying down to Bournemouth. We were shattered and yet we still pushed it all the way right up until the 96th minute and no one gave in or threw the towel in. It was a good game and both teams went for it. No complaints - we came up just short but 2 cups won is a very good achievement.

Two days. Nine days. It matters. But overall didn't take their chances early to relieve pressure. Just not the same team away from home this year when teams get stuck in against them.

Bournemouth played well and to be fair we were lucky to only concede one. We did not play well this evening and now Sunday can just be a Pep, Bernado, Stones, Ake and others celebration.
Two cups is a decent return and there will be harder times ahead no doubt.
Now have to prepare for a tsunami of cuntishness from Arse fans.

Not quite good enough unfortunately. Not just tonight but over the whole season. Just a shame that this Arsenal side get to win it, it's hardly the swashbuckling football or the pep Vs klopp years, is it?

I thought the commentator (Tyler?) also let his mask slip with the excitement in his voice cracking twice when Brookes had his chances late on. Pretty unprofessional.

Also disappointed that he played just over the six minutes despite the goal and stoppages for fouls all in injury time. Another two minutes and who knows.

Had already accepted the title was gone after Everton so the result isn't something that bothers me much but saw a real lack of winners mentality in that performance. Got throughly outplayed, outrun and outthought and a draw flatters us. We're nowhere near a title winning side, only the lack of a genuine title winning side put us in with a shout and we ultinately fucked it up, we might be in transition and a domestic cup double isn't to be sniffed at but there was a title there for the taking. only ourselves to blame for not taking it.
