Too many games like that for us this year.
Felt Kovatic was a better option than Rodri to stay on.
Fortunate to get a point sadly.
 
They looked absolutely goosed unfortunately. That away game 2 days after a cup final is fucking scandalous.
 
We looked like a team drained emotionally and physically from playing in a showpiece final 3 days prior - leggy and 10% off our natural level. At Prem Lge level that'll kill you. Dont think we won a 2nd ball all night till injury time, but glad we grabbed a point. Liverpool were the main beneficiaries of that Erling strike as it's qualified them for the CL.

A great effort this season though for a team being rebuilt. We added real quality in the transfer market, won 2 trophies and had a run at the league when few of us expected to do so. If you'd offered us 2nd spot, The FA Cup and the League Cup back in August we'd have absolutely snapped anyone's hands off.

Lots to be positive about. Congrats to Arsenal - the league table never lies after a season.
 
It was a really poor performance and let’s face it, there’s been plenty of them over the past 2 seasons.

I don’t want Pep to go but if he is, he probably won’t find a better time to do it. A cup double and a 2nd place means he can walk away as a resounding success overall and probably at peace with not leaving us after a dire year.

I honestly don’t think this team would win the league with him next season, not with these players. They’re not good enough for the the way he wants to play and with that in mind, I don’t think he can expect a better season than this for walking away.
 
Running on fumes tonight but still the lads put in an admirable performance against a very good team. Even Pep going all Kevin Keegan on us wasn't quite enough but i'm proud of the way we fought to the end. Sensational finish from Big Erl - top scorer in the league again.

I think tonight showed that Kovacic isn't good enough and Nico isn't trusted enough (because he isn't good enough) to fill the midfield hole left by the impending departure of Bernie. Maybe we buy a top class left back to free young Nico up to play permanently in the middle. Our two centre halves pick themselves after this last few weeks, both are young and both will improve even though they're already top class.

Congrats on the win mate. You guys deserved it over the course of the season. I much prefer you guys winning than rags or dippers anyway.

Yeah not worried about the CL - the league was what I wanted. And Spurs to go down would be everything.

Suspect we're keeping the trophy warm for you next season but for now I'll enjoy it!
 
Lucky to come out with a draw there with the missed chances they had are middle was shockingly slow in first half and how bad was doku Vs a 35 year old Adam smith.

Felt like it was Silva testimonial game with the speed we played at until about the 88 minute.

Now the league done nothing riding on the villa game should be a game of celebration for stones Silva pep and the 2 cups
 
nothing but pride for the boys. gave it them all. ultimately we were screwed by the scheduling. 4 games in 9 days including a cup final, we won the first three and the one that mattered. this was a bridge too far, away against a team who's had 10 days of rest. can't fault them whatsoever. whoever refused to schedule that palace game wanted the gooners to win the league

Everyone is going to forget about losing the league in a couple of days. It would have hurt more on the final day. Big celebration ahead for winning two trophies and a change in guard.

Kova looked nowhere defensivly, rodri not fit
Semenyo poor - if he cant learn to control a ball better he aint much use to us....yes he is a great goal scorer but there is a lack of basics there with him
The less said about Sav the better...hope he goes.

The rest tried but ultimately it was a step too far...we lost the league due to summer recruitment that didnt fill some gaps...that rodri size hole in the middle a decent right winger and cover for Stones and Ake who as predicted barely featured....yes we got Guehi in who is decent but the damage was done byt he time Khusonov got upto speed and Guehi was bought....

Arsenal won it off the back of a very strong defence and deserve it in the end....what shoulld be a worry for them however is that we should have been nowhere near them and we were - you would repsume a couple of other teams will get a. lot closer next season including the scousers and now Chelsea have a very good manager you never know (though they are still ran behind the scenes by absolute basket cases!!)

BIg summer....whether Pep stays or not- if we dont replace Bernardo with absolute quality and get a trustworthy understudy to Rodri then we will struggle again....what is absolute certain is that we need a right winger
