Partition was the catalyst but deaths happened because the Indians and Pakistanis hated each other, still do.
 
The death toll continues , i said a couple of weeks agothey would try and kill americans before they left , it was obvious , i also suspect the taliban as they are running the outer security and they know what a suicide bomber looks like as in extra clothes and bulges in clothes

I doubt that very much. An Afghan suicide bomber moving towards the airport is indistinguishable from Afghans trying to flee the country.

Moreover, it's not at all in Taliban's interest to allow suicide bombings or other acts of terrorism to occur while Americans and those who helped America are trying to flee the country - for numerous reasons.

That said - yeah - this sort of terrorist act was very predictable - and well nigh unstoppable.

Boris has said he will ‘move heaven and earth’ to get them out. Is this the same as ‘world beating!? If so then they have no chance.

The manner in which partition was done was the main cause of the turmoil and deaths. Just to give you an idea partition was brought forward by an year and thing which would have been completed in an year was hastily done in a month causing massive and sudden migration and deaths.

Some Army personal are not happy over this. From the Times Defence Correspondent.

‘Veteran messages: "It is a shame the interpreters working for the Brits were not given the same VIP treatment to get to the airport as the animals."

This is in response to the MoD. You will note that the MoD states it was at the direction of the Defence Secretary.

‘Pen Farthing and his pets were assisted through the system at Kabul airport by the UK Armed Forces. They are currently being supported while he awaits transportation.

On the direction of the Defence Secretary, clearance for their charter flight has been sponsored by the UK Government.’

Did he really have VIP treatment?

He has provided his own transport and chartered his own plane. There aren't any logistical difficulties of trying to get him through checkpoints whilst trying to evade Taliban inspectors with a kill list.

Was also turned away previously.

Is it not just a case that MOD are claiming maximum credit for something they had minimal input in assisting.

Doesn't deflect from the shambles of the formal procedures as exemplified by the case covered on yesterday's newsnight.
 
So should all our other people in danger but the Taliban are now inside the airport

Tucker on how to humiliate the US on you tube says it was the US embassy that left the list of names for US and all the allies, for the Taliban to find. Putting all the interpreters and nationals in danger
