Let's just say that tiny Uruguay has won the World Cup twice and North Korea has shown a better performance than all African teams so far.

I didn't expect anything from France. They've been rubbish for years now.
But I think we should have expected some more from African teams when the tournament is played in Africa, no?

I said it,when you look at some of the crap served up by some european teams that would have better resources and more experience than african footballers ie champs lge and big games.

Still with the players France have i think its fair the gneral concencus was that they'd at least qualify without too much issue.
Just because the tournament is in South Africa i wouldn't automatically expect African teams to do better, its very 'english' to blame the weather on poor performance... the rest just get on with it.
I'd still say Spain getting beat by Switzerland is the biggest upet so far, and no team has hit top gear. For me Higuain was awfull and scored three... its been a strange World Cup so far.
