African teams - horrible and pathetic?

So far this World Cup in Africa, the African teams have played 10 games, with 1 victory! This is surely very pathetic compared to what was expected. So the question then is, what is going wrong with the African teams?

Has there been too much overrating of these teams prior to the World Cup and irrational emotions considering the World Cup is held in Africa?

They were supposed to show the world what they could do with the first one held in Africa, but it seems the Asian teams are the real good'uns from the other group of teams.

It is the other way round, most of the Algerian team were born in France as was Zidane.

but south africa are shite, ghana have played in a decent group and ivory coast played portugal. even algeria played against us where they'd have expected to lose.
